Nakshatras - Why from the Moon?

Hello all, Namaste! Hope all of you had a great week where you were able to integrate your shadow as well as light side to work towards your purpose for your life. We have been discussing a lot of subjects for some time like philosophy, spirituality, mythology, and metaphysics. Now, how about some Vedic astrology and underlying philosophy for this week? We discussed the Vedic horoscope and how the planets in a particular house affect the chart, as well as that house and other houses. Now, for the chart signifying the body, it is always started from the Lagna or the ascendant or the zodiac sign that was rising at the eastern horizon during the time of the birth. We also discussed that in a Vedic chart, the Moon represents the mind, or in Sanskrit terms Manas. Here we are discussing the houses and planets. Hello all, Namaste! Hope all of you were able to acknowledge the shadow and light side in oneself and come to terms with the enormous power of the dark side. It is better to keep the dark side as our friend and work with it than making it our enemy. As you can see it's power can bring down mighty kings like Ravana himself. As per the last post , we saw how Ravana, even though he had a lot of great qualities due to his ego was brought down and decimated. Ravana: The shadow side!

Hello all, Namaste! Hope all of you had a great week pursuing what you wanted to show up in your life. For the last few weeks we were discussing the philosophy and how many of the laws can be applied to our life from a Self-point of view. Pretty heavy stuff. So to make it a bit lighter, instead of just discussing pure philosophy, let us this week discuss, of course again philosophy with a touch of mythology. Stories make any write up more interesting. We have discussed before, how in every human being there are seeds of opposite sides of the same quality. For example, the same person has the seeds of good/evil, knowledge/ignorance, humility/ arrogance, compassion/cruelty or loyalty/treachery. It is up to the person to choose, which seeds to nurture. So the same person has the light side comprising of all the good qualities and the shadow side with all the bad qualities. Every opposite is the other side of the same coin. Moola Nakshatra - A Curse or a blessing?

As mentioned last week let us discuss the characteristic of the nakshatra, Moola and whether it needs to be feared as many in the society do. Before that, two weeks back we discussed what are Nakshatras and why they are calculated according to the placement of the Moon in the horoscope. Ardra nakshatra - The inconsolable human!

This year Saturday (April 14, 2018) is Vishu. So it has been one year since I started my writings. Kannagi - The incensed lady!

Wishing all a fantastic week where you are able to put into actions the deeds needed to capture your true authentic Self and purpose. Every step we take intentionally leads to that greater realm and once we really figure out our true purpose the doors that open for us are grander and lovelier. The last couple of weeks we discussed two strong mythological ladies who stood strong on their principles, spoke their mind and are true and authentic examples of the divine feminine. Why don't we this week analyze a third lady who due to her anger and rage burnt down an entire city?
