SatChitAnanda!

Hello all, Namaste! I want to let my blog readers know about my new website- swaroopa.net. Very simple id, not the complicated blog id address. Now to the post.   Last week we discussed the concept of Satchitananda ! Let us delve into it more. In this modern age, where everyone is after happiness and fulfillment, this concept becomes even more important to discuss. The Upanishads, the Vedic treatise expands on such a concept. Last week, we discussed it as the bliss (Ananda) of a true (Sat) heart (Chit). But how can we find the true heart? The bliss of that heart comes only later. But first we need to get to the true heart. We have discussed many times the difference between the heart and the mind. The heart we are discussing here, is not the physical heart, but the metaphorical one. Take many of the pictures in which the Master in Christianity, Jesus is depicted. He would have a red heart that is illuminated around with a halo. This halo we can interpret as Self-realization. A

The power of Dharma!

Hello all, Namaste! I want to let my blog readers know about my new website- swaroopa.net. Very simple id, not the complicated blog id address. Now to the post.   Last week, we discussed how a global mindset affects the energy of the globe itself. This was in the macroscopic scale. Today, let us discuss the microscopic scale, as pertaining to Dharma. In these times, where Dharma is being trampled underneath the foot due to lies, deception, grandstanding, fakeness and immorality, I felt it is a good topic to discuss. Dharma: What is Dharma? According to Wikipedia , "In Hinduism, dharma signifies behaviors that are considered to be in accord with Ṛta , the order that makes life and universe possible, and includes duties, rights, laws, conduct, virtues and "right way of living". In Buddhism, dharma means "cosmic law and order", and is also applied to the teachings of Buddha. In Buddhist philosophy, dhamma/ dharma is also the term for "phenomena&

Hello all, Namaste! I want to let my blog readers know about my new website- swaroopa.net. Very simple id, not the complicated blog id address. Now to the post.   Last week, we discussed how our own individual mindset decides which way our life evolves. Many times we lead our life thinking we are our minds. We are not our minds , in one sense. We are our minds in another sense. Why contradicting statements? Let us delve into this concept.  Who are we? Nowadays, as I understand, the second we come into existence as a being in the womb, we, the Soul is given a mind and a body, in that order. The Soul or in other words our heart is 'us' the being. This is closely connected with our emotions or the subconscious mind. But this subconscious mind has no language. Emotions are its language. It usually works through the right brain. Now, the logical mind or more of the left brain is the language, words, logic and rationality. This is the thinking and talking mind. That is wh

Hello all, Namaste! I want to let my blog readers know about my new website- swaroopa.net. Very simple id, not the complicated blog id address. Now to the post.   Last week we just celebrated the new year and the start of the new decade. Within nine days it has changed so much. An Iranian military leader was killed. The USA and Iran are almost on the brink of war. People of Iran are on the streets against the USA. Other countries are scrambling towards world peace and to have restraint. The people in India are on the streets against the citizenship law. The Chinese government is shelling and teargassing people in Hong Kong. Australia is burning due to the wildfire. In between a Ukrainian flight crashes to the ground killing 176 people aboard. The world is literally burning in a huge metaphorical fire. Mindset: No, this blog is not about politics or religion. There are thousand other News sites and channels for that. This blog is indeed about higher ideals and thought. A higher
