Heaven continues!
Hello all,
Namaste! Hope all of you had a great week where through actions you tried to bring your own little heaven into your life. Sometimes it is amazing how negligent and complacent we, human beings can be. Yes, including me. I was also very negligent and always praying to the divine to bring in changes in my life. I have gone many times to temple to ask, "Please bring my career. Please. I would try to work with my utmost sincerity." But the problem is that the divine we are keeping very separate from ourselves, outside. Anything outside of us, we can access only so much.
Think about it. Say a car. To access the air-conditioning within the car, we have to turn the switch within the car. How can we turn on air-conditioning when we come out of the car and search for the switch? Isn't that what we are really doing? Our creativity, inspiration, ideas, determination, values are within. Our Soul or higher self is also within. So, how can we go to the temple or sacred space and ask for random things? Would it work? The car becomes very much separate from the air conditioner switch. It won't work. The shenanigans of our mind!
The same way we are trying to create heaven after this life when we can very much create it in this life. How? Our intentions, attitude, and actions determine whether we are creating heaven or hell for ourselves. Before proceeding with heaven itself, let us come to the concept of the Universe or Brahman. We have discussed it more than enough in many of the blog posts. What is really the Universe? Is it the physical Universe that scientists are day and night trying to find? Yes, we can get proof through research that a Universe does exist. But there is a better way.
Universe: When we look at the Universe (Brahman) we take ourselves out of the picture. This is not correct. We the being or the consciousness is very much part of the Universe, We cannot look at Brahman, by taking ourselves outside. Instead, we are Brahman -'Aham Brahma Asmi'. I am the creator! Creator of what? My own Universe! My Universe extends outside of me. I create my circumstances with my intentions, actions, and attitude. This is true for everyone. As I create my Universe, so do you, the blog reader by your intentions, conscious actions, and attitudes.
Now, from this point look at our Universe or in other words, our life. What are we creating? Are we creating our heaven or our hell? This every person, the 7B has to ask themselves. What am I creating? Am I creating, heaven on Earth or hell on Earth? Now standing in this perspective, look at every leader. What are they creating? Their own life would speak volumes. We don't have to listen to any words they speak. But see how their life evolves day by day. Is it utter chaos, confusion, and malady or is it clarity, crystal clear thoughts, and simplicity?
Many times we as human beings think higher ideals and principles should be complicated, chaotic, and simply too complex to understand. No! That is the energy of Maya-the grand illusion. It confuses, distracts, and detracts us. Maya wants us to go far away from knowledge or wisdom. The knowledge of Self-'Who am I'? This, as well as the associated knowledge, is totally simple. There is no confusion, chaos or dust, but pure, simple and straight forward knowledge. That is why it is said. 'Truth shall set you free!'
It is so simple, it would set our mind totally free to pursue our exact path and Dharma. So, this is another way to find a great leader. A great leader is someone who can explain a concept in so simple terms, we have no confusion in our mind. It becomes so simple and crystal clear. That also shows the clarity of that person and their mind. Someone who is confused in their own mind cannot explain a concept in very simple, straightforward terms. They themselves are confused. How can they explain a concept in simple terms?
Keep this in mind, any time we come across someone coming across as a leader. Nowadays there are so many out there. A confused mind of a leader can confuse the people who follow them. This also is another way Maya pokes her head. The followers are so utterly confused they have no idea whether they are following their own intentions or following the intentions of a leader after utter brainwash. Remember, as the way a leader has been given choice and free will, so are you. In the eyes of the Universe, every single being is important. Therefore everyone is given their own mind, the heart, will power, and brain to think, contemplate, intent and take actions.
If as a being you are not showing up at the center of your own Universe, who will? The person who has captured your mind will. He/She would rule his or her own Universe as well as yours. Your Universe would become the extension of theirs. Look at all these 'leaders' and the followers. Whose mind is acting through all the followers? You can follow anyone. But be very sure, the leader is helping you to create your heaven in this very life, while they are creating their own heaven in theirs.
This criterion is many times totally forgotten. A person who helps to create utter chaos, tragedy, and confusion in a follower's life, are they really leading? Give it a thought. A leader from the term itself should - lead, not confuse. The actions that show up in your life should be very much the ideas coming out of your brain and mind after listening to the simple and clear cut words of the leader. Now back to Indra and heaven.
Indra and the heaven: Last week we discussed Indra and how Indra can be analyzed as our 'higher self' in the truest sense. Indra- the King of the heavens! For a Soul, the Indra of their own heaven, they create using the principle of 'Aham Brahma Asmi'- I am the creator! I create my heaven, in this very physical existence, in the present moment, in the 'now'. For that 'I' ( this is not just me, Swaroopa, but everyone reading this post), the being use my intuition, Vishnu or Shiva, Jesus, Allah or any higher power, who guides me to my greatest good- in other words, heaven!
Agni: Now, to Hinduism, and to Indra. Indra, the King of the Devas has people surrounding him to help him with his duties. Can we explore who these other celestial beings? There are the Gods Agni, Vayu, Soma, and Surya. There are many more. We are just discussing four. Agni is the fire god. He creates fire and maintains the food, the Devas get while humans do fire ritual sacrifices. In the Vedas, he is called the carrier of 'Havissu'- the essence of the sacrifice humans make during their fire rituals.
Who is Agni- the fire, the passion. In Vedic astrology, the passion is symbolized by Mars, the fiery planet. Mars also symbolizes another thing, blood. What does blood do? It carries the nutrients all around the body so that every part gets the nutrients like oxygen and other minerals. In other words, isn't this the 'Havissu'- the essence of the food materials, we put into the fire- our very own cauldron- our stomach, with the acids that churn the food- the basic fire ritual?
We can also consider, the Agni as the fire of passion, the passion to bring our ideas into existence. For that, we need the energy, the 'Havissu' or the essence of the nutrients and oxygen to create, to think, to ideate. These things need enormous mental energy that the blood provides, the fire God, Mars or Agni. Thus Agni is needed for Indra, the higher self.
Vayu: Vayu is the wind of God. The God who creates the wind. Who is the wind in our body? Our Breath. In Sanskrit, it is called 'Prana'. Without our breath, we cannot survive. We need that oxygen to convert the food into the energy that the Agni or blood carries to different parts of the body. Now, let us see what happens when a person cannot get a breath. Think about a person suffering from Asthma. If their windpipe or lungs are not helped to be dilated with medicine or puff, they can choke to death.
See, how important Vayu becomes. We can choke to our death if we don't get our breath. That is why in the ancient practice of Yoga, the breath and breathing is given so much importance. For every pose being done there is associated breathing, whether to inhale, exhale, or hold the breath. Thus Vayu becomes an important element, in case Indra or the higher Self needs to act. If there is no breath, the person dies. Then where is the higher self or Indra? So, along with Agni, Vayu becomes an essential Deva to Indra.
Soma: Now, to Soma. There is a drink called Soma, the Devas drink. This Soma is not that. This Soma is the God of Soma or Moon. In Vedic astrology, the Moon is considered as the mind. Without the mind for a person to take action, there is no person. The person is as good as dead. Every action a person takes is the result of the contemplation or the thought process of the mind. If there is no mind, then there is no contemplation or no action.
Without action, our life sits at the exact place it is, stagnant. It doesn't move, it doesn't thrive or it doesn't prosper. So, our higher Self/ Indra needs the mind, to take the idea given by the intuition as well as the higher Self to transform it into action and later into results for our life. Thus Soma is another important Deva in the kingdom of Indra.
Surya: The next one Surya. The Sun. In the Vedic system, instead of one Sun, there are twelve Suns or Adityas. Each Aditya is brilliant, with bright light, that of a 1000 Suns. Instead of discussing all the Adityas, let us just discuss Surya- the Sun. Who is Surya? In Vedic astrology, in normal terms, Surya is the personality. In deeper sense, it become the Soul itself. Let us take the personality here.
We have to exist as a person energetically to take our actions. What happens, if we don't have a strong and firm personality. We would just become a wallflower and anyone can make us do their intentions. Remember the leader and the follower we discussed. A personality or the essence of a person or their energetic imprint is very much needed for intentions and actions to take place. Otherwise, the person would stay in the background of their own life. A shadow of themselves in their own life. So, here Surya or the personality is very much needed. Another Deva in the court of Indra.
The heavens: Like this, the Vedic mythology is describing the person or the divine being as the potential a person is provided to create their heaven. The being already comes with everything to create their heaven on Earth. They don't need anything else. Of course with anything, first the being's greatest good and then the good of the others should be considered.
This is the heavens described in the sacred books, the heaven, we as a being can create. But we due to our ignorance considers this as a physical place and strive to achieve it using any means, however, damaging it can be for ourselves or others. Now standing in this space look at the terrorist activity where people are taking the weapons in the 'name of God'. Isn't it the utmost stupidity, yes stupidity to waste the one rare chance one has been given to be in a physical body?
Is there any guarantee we would get another go at life? So, shouldn't we treat the one chance we have gotten as precious and do everything we can to bring ourselves and our fellow beings up? But then what do we do? We try to catch the bird that is flying instead of the one at hand. This is the one precious chance we have. Why waste it and go for something afterlife about which we have absolutely no clue? Let us create our abundance, heaven, 'now', in this present moment. Then give the utmost Thankfulness to the highest intelligence that made this moment -now, possible. No life- no human!
A human without awareness can create utmost damage to himself/herself and to their fellow travelers. That is what many of the humans are doing. Creating damage first for ourselves and then very much for others. Hope every human being do their inner contemplation and open their third eye- the vision for their own life. The Ajna Chakra- the third eye, that guides a being to their magnificent and towering Self!
But a path can only be shown. Whether to walk the virtuous and correct path is decided by the being. The virtuous path always strive for the betterment of oneself and others. Not bringing the human race and the civilizations to it's knees, whichever way one chooses. Now, whether to capture that virtuous or vicious path- that is always the free will and choice of the being!
I wish you a good weekend and I'll see you next Friday!😉
Next week: The truth shall set you free!
