Our Truth - The vote!

Namaste! All of you, my dear blog readers, know about my website-swaroopa.net. I have started my business, Swaroopa store, which can be accessed from Shop tab on my website, for Souls who are interested in a personal reading. Now to the post.

As, I mentioned last week, I had stopped the follow.it subscription service for my blog readers, two days back. It came with a lot of unnecessary advertisements, and it was not aligning with the calm and balanced space of the blog, I wanted to maintain. After I cancelled the email subscription service, the good folks at follow.it, came back to me and decided to offer my blog readers, the subscription, that too their best, free of any charge to me, and advertisements free. No advertisements and free to me. So, I want to shout out a big Thank you to them. The reason for their offer was to help me towards encouraging and motivating my blog readers to capture their very best selves during this tough and perilous time of the pandemic and pure political/social chaos. Once again, Thank you, follow.it. So, with the blessings of my blog readers and no advertisements, I have decided to continue with the subscription service.

Let me start with the topic of advertisements, itself. Why do we many times feel very chaotic and confused when we come in contact with energies that make us tensed, stressed and pressured? Pure chaos. Previously I was planning to write another blog-post on the power of the heart. Then, decided otherwise as this post begs to be considered for this week. Therefore, I would dive into another topic.

Truth and Chaos:

The Hindu mythology always talks about Rakshasas, demons in loose terms. They always get into other's stuff, either obstructing the rituals sages were doing, kidnapping ladies or blocking rivers from flowing. When they appear in the scene, along with them comes chaos, confusion and fights. Why was it like that? Why can't they align with the natural laws and principles of the Universe and nature?

Rakshasas never liked to be pious, do their Dharma or help others. It was always, how can I trick or trip others? Many times they were so smart, others could not find their underlying intentions or agendas. They kept it hidden under a cloud or clout of magic, chaos and pure noise. Why they were taking these paths? Why couldn't they follow the path of Dharma?

Because the path of Dharma asks a person to have integrity, depth of character and be aligned with their own inner truths. That path is not easy, it is tough. The rakshasas want to take the easy way out, do the minimum effort and get the maximum benefit. In the case of truth and Dharma, that is not possible. One has to put, deep, consistent effort. A person who does not have that mindset would find it very difficult to follow the path of Dharma. The path of Dharma is arduous, tough and people may stand against you, when you speak your mind and truth.

Why rakshasa? Because the energy of chaos is very low vibration, that of the demons. As of now, I guess, the world itself is at loggerheads with such an energy, with a pandemic, people falling sick, people not wearing masks and huge rate of deaths, we have not seen in current human times. Let us take Vedic astrology. Even here chaos is ruled by Rahu, the demon. Rahu is the energy of the slick snake oil salesman. It would be all talk, but no consistent effort. Rahu also rules magic, cheating and glitz/glam. The energy of a gambling pit is that of Rahu. The energy of betting on horses, is Rahu. Drinks and drugs are Rahu. Anything that captures the mind and hallucinates or keeps it away from inner truths are Rahu. But remember, even Rahu is a God energy, the shadow part of the Divine.

Rahu does not like truths. In higher vibrations, he is the magical healer. In the Samudra Mathana story, Rahu in his full form as Swayambharu, went and sat between Sun - the Soul and Moon - the mind. He can eclipse the Soul as well as the mind. So, in deep analysis, Rahu as political chaos, protests- many times very violent, suppression of protests, tear-gas (smoke), opportunistic agendas and pure fakeness can come in-between the Soul and the mind.

Elections in the US:

Now, the next points are specifically for the country of the USA. Whoever in the USA, reading this blog post, please understand what I am trying to portray. So, Rahu- the agent of chaos, confusion, lower vibration, political turmoil, social unrest, the emotional and mental stress people are going through due to a pandemic, home isolation of people, sickness, respiratory problems and even untimely deaths of people. The energy of pure chaos and confusion. As of now, the society is being ripped apart due to opinions, divisions, disparities and inequality. The change agent Rahu can appear as anyone who is trying to mask the truth with falseness, cheating, alternate facts or plain untruths. So, anything that feels not truthful and deeply deceptive is Rahu. Remember that!

Now, the truth. The truth in the current times, the Sun is the election in the USA that is going to happen on November 3, 2020. The election has to be truthful and genuine, as Sun is the most straightforward graha. It is ever brilliant. It has nothing to hide, self-shining, the truth out in the open, bright and bold. Any one who is trying to hide the truth or the Sun, is not the Sun. It is Rahu- the cheater masking in the attire of the Sun. In Vedic astrology, Sun is the King of the chart. Nothing to hide- brilliant, bold and effulgent!

But that truth, Sun can be hidden behind the mask of falseness, opportunistic agendas, fake news, alternate facts and hoaxes about the election being rigged or manipulated. Remember, "We, the people" should be smart to discern the truth, the brilliant, effulgent Sun from the chaff- falseness, ego-mask and ulterior agendas. Rahu wants people to concentrate on everything, but the election, that is going to happen on November 3.

Now, in the Samudra Mathana - churning of the milky ocean story, Rahu sat between the Sun- the truth and Moon- the mind. So, the other side of the equation, in this modern Samudra Mathana story is the Moon, the mind of the voters, who are going to the polls to vote. Rahu, the fake, rogue, confusion bringing agent, the energy who many times can take human form, would try to bring everything there is, to confuse the minds (Moon) of the voters- whether it is a Tweet to postpone the election, federal agents on the streets of Portland, dilly-dallying against  face masks, cutting school funding for states that are going for online schooling in the fall or anything and everything under the Sun- the eternal truth!

Remember, as a Soul, nothing should come between our own inner truth (Sun) and the mind (Moon)- whether it is Rahu, Kethu, Venus, Jupiter or any number of planets. Even in the sacred text of Hinduism, Bhagavad Gita, the warrior Arjuna is led by the charioteer Krishna. Here, also our minds, Arjuna is in his biggest fight of this lifetime, with charioteer Krishna, our own Soul leading us the way. As all of you know, Krishna is the Universal wisdom, the eternal truth, by virtue of it, the Sun. So, remember, our own inner truth, is the Sun. This country, the USA stands on a Constitution that starts with the words, "We the people of the United States".

So, that truth, the Sun has a big say in this election. Let nothing stop you from casting your vote on November 3. This is one of the most important vote you would ever cast, for your own country, the USA. The land of the Lady Liberty who stands as a beacon of light, chiming the phrase - E Pluribus Unum - Out of many, one!

John Lewis: 

Reminder of the post, I want to give respects to the congressional leader who was put to rest today, John Lewis. He before passing, wrote an opinion piece in The New York Times to be published on his funeral day, where he urged everyone to go and vote. He wrote- "Together, you can redeem the Soul of our nation". Isn't that true? Is the United States who was in the front and center of leading the world towards cooperation, global health, peace talks, collaboration on projects of global importance like climate change, ecological conservation, world hunger and global poverty, any where seen in the picture? Isn't as of today, USA has become a Soul-less nation?

John Lewis, was a Civil Rights Movement leader, who fought along side Martin Luther King, Jr., imbibing the principle of Sathyagraha, insistence on non-violent non-coperation, the central tenet of Mahatma Gandhi's India freedom struggle. It was this principle that helped the Civil rights movement and later the Civil rights act of 1964 - the act that gave the right for all citizens to vote. 

The titan who led that struggle yesterday laid in-state in the rotunda of the Capitol building of the US. It becomes every US citizen's duty to go and vote to the best outcome for the nation of the US, it's Constitution and "We, the people of the United States." That would be the best respects, we as a nation pays to John Lewis, who spend his whole life towards the service of his fellow Americans, a Congressional Black Caucus leader. The speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi (Video attached) gave a beautiful speech, which mentioned Sathyagraha, Mahatma Gandhi as well as Abraham Lincoln, among whom John Lewis could be spotted from now on wards. May his brilliant Soul, rest in peace!

I want to finish today, with a small story about Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding fathers of the US. Upon exiting the Constitutional Convention, which took place from May 14 to September 17, 1787 in Philadelphia, Pennysylvania, Benjamin Franklin was met by a group of citizens, who asked what type of a government has been created? His answer was, "A republic, if you can keep it." Are we able to keep it, or would Democracy be looked upon by history as there was a time, where humans used to self govern, but not any more. It could very well happen, if we are not careful, as in many places democracy is being overtaken by dictatorship. Even in th US, it was considered a great American experiment called Democracy.

Let us make sure, it persists as a beacon of hope and inspiration. We have to make sure the chaos of Rahu is transcended, and the bright truth of the Sun, our vote (our voice) comes shining through with a thundering might reverberating all through the globe-"We, the people of the United States". To add a cherry on top of the cake, leaving with a quote from Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President who loved his nation and paid the ultimate price towards it's unbreakable union-The United States of America! The sagacious Soul of a President!!
