Last two weeks, we were discussing the concept called the Emotional Universe. It is unfortunate nowadays, people have taken logic to such an extent, the emotions are kept away, blocked or pushed under the rug. Two weeks back, we saw how emotions could overtake a group of people, become a mob and storm the Capitol building in the USA. This shows along with logic, emotions also need to be acknowledged, because that part is bigger than logic. Logic encompasses only 20% of the mind while the emotions, a humongous 80%. How can we ignore it? Unfortunately, that is what humanity is doing nowadays.

We sit and think everything from the logic. Yes, logic is needed. Totally. For example, I needed to take my creativity- writing/concepts/ideas, the emotional part and put it into something logical- Quora answers and this blog. The emotions bring you the gasoline/petrol/ diesel to drive the car. The car is the logic, the vehicle. The emotions alone if given, a spark of a word/ incitement can catch flame, like wildfire and burn down everything. So, emotions have to be channeled as the gasoline is channeled towards driving the car. Emotions has to be taken and aligned beautifully with the logical mind and used to create the best life for ourselves. The original creator is the one who understands both the emotional as well as the logical mind.

Overtaken by the logic: Instead, what has happened? In the last two hundred years, humans have become so much interested in science, logic has overtaken the humanity. We have become puppets in the hands of the logic. Anyone who doesn't totally align to this logical mentality is put down, taken to task and is pooh-poohed. What a tragedy. The funny thing is, everyone loves mother's cooking, her house, her deep, authentic, genuine love. (Here, I have to acknowledge, every person is not fortunate to get such an unconditional love. Unfortunately, many cannot.) But when it comes to emotions, throw the whole person or the quality itself into the dumpster.

Can we see how logic has actually taken a toll in this world? It has been run by human males for the last some 1500-2000 years. Everywhere you see it is divisions, hate, anger and rage. Total masculinity. Machoism. Great! Go-getter and ambition are needed to blaze a trail, innovate, progress and motivate. Definitely. But it also should be done in a beautiful, elegant way. Now, whose quality is elegance, beauty and art? The Divine Feminine. Emotions are feminine, the Moon. In Vedic astrology, logic is Mercury, the eunuch planet. He is not male or female. Mars is the will power, male planet. Now take this logic with the male planet Mars, you get the divisions, anger, rage and then rationalize everything with logic.

This is not about males, but about the yang energy- the Divine masculine. The go-getter, ambitious and forward looking. It is when the divine masculine is tempered with divine feminine, every human becomes balanced and elegant. But then where is truly the divine feminine in the society. Until just some 200 years back, the energy as well as the ladies were absconding. Nowhere to be seen. Many of the yesteryear ladies had to fight tooth and nail to even get an inch of their voice in this world.

Hope, you have heard about the witch hunts and trials in this world. During the early dawn of the century when many religions were taking root, the feminine side of the equation was either decimated or they were brought to task. Before that all over the world there were female deities as well as Goddesses. But then many of the idols were systematically destroyed. Only Hinduism and some other pagan Goddesses survived like Greek mythology or African mythology.

The Mother: How can the mother be bad? All of us are born of our mothers. So, if such an energy is needed to create, isn't the same within a human as well? It is. In Hinduism, Shiva needs the Shakthi. Shiva is the pure consciousness or knowledge. But knowledge alone doesn't bring anything. You need to take the knowledge/ idea or concept and create something with it- blog, book or a YouTube channel. The Shakthi- is the energy, true creativity. Same way Shiva- the knowledge within also is needed for Shakthi. Without true knowledge. creativity is pretty much useless.

Within a human, the divine masculine as well as the divine feminine should coexist. Only then the person becomes highly creative/ intuitive and take that talent to use it towards themselves, community and the globe. Why do people find it very difficult to create something or feel they are lost of ideas or concepts? Because they have taken the creative life-force and thrown it into their mind trash. It is all logic. But logical mind cannot create. It can align, streamline and bring the emotions as something very productive. But it has no capacity to create. Suddenly the human finds at loss for ideas and concepts.

Can you see how the humans are losing in this equation? We, humans are becoming emotionless zombies and trying to just move as a shadow through life. The second the emotions or the divine feminine is removed, the person is dead. The creative life-force is gone. In Hinduism says, the minute Shakthi or the divine mother is out of the picture, the human form Shiva- the all-knowing becomes Shava- the corpse. This is not about males or females. But every single human. Every single one of us has the divine feminine, the creative Yin energy as well as the divine masculine, the taking charge Yang energy. Every single one of us.

Above, making the yesteryear's independent ladies a witch, humanity even gave them the name as dark and evil energies. If our own mother, we consider as divine, how can the Goddess energy be evil. It is considered dark and evil. But it is not. Within us, the deep creativity is feminine, nurturer and someone who encourages. Now, can we relate why the Capitol storming crowd was angry, arrogant and vile. It was all the take charge divine masculine or Shiva, the worse, violent form of Shiva, Rudra energy. Rudra in esoteric Hinduism is called the Howler. He howls and vehements.

Let us look at this concept from an angle of mythology. This would give the concept clarity. Any concept if we give it a cloak of a story, it becomes more palatable and enjoyable. So, let us go to the Shiva and Sathi story of mythology where, Shiva transformed to Rudra due to deep sadness. Later, to make Rudra to Shiva, his consort Parvathi had to come into the picture after many aeons and ages.

Shiva and Sathi: Shiva first was married to Sathi (previous incarnation of Parvathi), the daughter of Daksha, a celestial being. Daksha was prominent among the Devas. He was wealthy, had a lot of power and influence. Think about our own current political society. Shiva even though a God was a minimalist, didn't love wealth or money and was content to live in the forest or the cold, mountainous Himalayas. This Daksha didn't like. He thought Shiva was useless, good for nothing and a tramp. But as Shiva was God, he kept quiet and used to suffer the insults and put downs. He was more interested in having a great relationship with Sathi who used to adore her husband, but deeply loved her father as well. Sathi also didn't listen to her father's attitude, as she was more interested in marrying Shiva.

Once, Daksha planned a huge yaga, fire ritual. He invited all the Devas (celestial beings), Gods, Goddesses, sages and others. He invited all, except Shiva. His mentality was why to call that forest dweller who is not into rituals and ways of the world. So, he did not invite Shiva. Shiva was not  bothered as well. He was not interested in the ways of the world. But Sathi was interested. It was her dad who was doing the yagya. She could meet all her sisters, mother and attend the ceremony as well.

She approached Shiva and told her desire to go and attend the ceremony. Shiva in loving way let her know, her husband Shiva had not been invited. Going there, she may not get respect. But she was adamant. She wanted to go and see. Here, we see, even though Shakthi is creativity, without the consciousness/ knowledge known as Shiva, Shakthi becomes invalid or directionless. So, both feminine as well as masculine are needed within oneself. Lots of energy or creativity. But has no idea what to do with it. The consciousness or knowledge of what to do comes from Shiva, the divine masculine.

Anyway, as Shakthi was adamant, Shiva relented. Shakthi got ready and set to go. Shiva sent her with his assistants and associates, the bull- Nandi and all the other Bhootgana- the army of demons. While going Shiva, the all-knowing called Sathi as "Dakshayani (daughter of Daksha), if you are disrespected and insulted, don't come back here crying and whining. I would tell you- I told you so".

Without listening Sathi proceeded to the function. When they reached the hall of function, Daksha. her own father, who was sitting with other Gods and sages laughed at her, the way she was alighting from a bull and surrounded by demons and other forest dwelling creatures. He poked her saying, "This is what happens when you marry a tramp and a forest dweller. He won't be able to provide you anything".

Sathi, didn't like her husband being insulted, stood for her husband's honor and said, "I am embarrassed to call you dad. So, now on wards I would address you as Daksha. Daksha, you are not realizing, Shiva is the Universe itself- the consciousness. You, the ego without the realization of your own knowledge/ consciousness, who is Shiva is insulting the Universe, Shiva. I can't go back to my husband, after your insults and put down. I am self-immolating here, myself in my yogic mental fire".

Saying this Sathi, made a fire from her own mind and burnt herself. Daksha, sages and other Gods were stunned and became terrified. They had an inkling of the anger Shiva was going to have. The assistants of Shiva followed by Nandi ran to Shiva to tell the news. Shiva became very angry that his wife was insulted and, in even more sadness she was dead, ran to the Yagya hall. There he plucked a bunch of his own hair and beat it on the floor. From that the terrible form called Veerabhadra and his sister Bhadrakali emanated. They started devouring the sages, Gods, Devas and other celestial beings. The ritual hall became a murder hall. Here, the consciousness Shiva was without his consort, Shakthi- the creativity and feminine part.

Masculine without Feminine: This story portrays, the Divine masculine, Shiva without his consort, Shakthi- divine feminine can become angry, directionless. Then, the emotions of creativity becomes a wild fire, with no kindness, compassion, value and nurturance. It burns every thing down. Shiva, the pure, gentle consciousness in that ritual hall transformed into Rudra- the God of terror and howl, who brought in chaos, confusion and destruction. Along with him, Veerabhadra, Bhadrakali, the bull Nandi, and the demonic army sowed the seeds of terror and destruction. The Gods were eaten, some were chopped off their heads, eyes dangling, limbs and heads rolling and more. So, like this the Daksha yaga (fire ritual) came to an end.

This was the same scenario and energy, the raging mob portrayed in the Capitol building as well. There was no soft energy of Shakthi- compassion, kindness and nurturing. It was all the masculine energy showing off itself. But here as the Shiva, divine masculine is angry about the changing demographics, fearful of the new dynamics, stressed and not thinking well. The energy is directionless, chaotic, confused and as Shiva devoid of Shakthi has transformed into Rudra.

Once it is Rudra, anything goes. People can terrorize others, can scream and howl, try to snatch the glass shield off a police officer's head and vandalize the building and windows. Even further trespass into the speaker or other official's offices, desecrates them and take law in their own hands. They even went ahead and beat to death a police officer with a flag pole. Beating an officer to death, how can it become patriotic? The police officer is actually doing his duty of protecting the government buildings and property from the hands of goons. He is more patriotic than the mob who was attacking him. He was trying to preserve the government of the people, which was democratically elected.

So, don't think less of the divine feminine. The words of kindness, compassion and love comes from the divine feminine. The words that can make a human, kind and compassionate. When the energy becomes Shiva without Shakthi, that energy transforms into Rudra, the male energy devoid of his consort. There is no one to give an emotional support, and Shakthi, the emotions have become directionless and wild-fire.

So, it is very important for a human to be balanced within. Shiva and Shakthi together. The consciousness, the male principle becomes tempered with the kind, energizing and compassionate words of Shakthi. This concerted energy can capture mountains. The knowledge bestowed by Shiva and the energy of Shakthi to be channeled in a proper way as projects, YouTube channels, podcasts, blog posts, Quora answers, governments, organizations and multi-national companies. Shiva, the go-getter consciousness, aligned with Shakthi- the energy or emotions that propel the word/ thought or intentions forward with actions.

So, don't think less of effect of words/ thoughts/ideas. It has the power of both Shiva and Shakthi within it. It with its power can create chaos or peace. Here, we saw how it created chaos. Next week, let us tackle another area of the same concept- fake news and conspiracy theories from the word.

I wish you a good and safe weekend, and I'll see you next Friday! 😉
