Hello all, Namaste! I want to let my blog readers know about my new website- swaroopa.net. Very simple id, not the complicated blog id address. Wishing all my blog readers a very Happy New year and a fantastic decade ahead! May all of us find the inspiration in our Soul to capture the very best potential for ourselves! Now to the post. A very Happy New Year! Image credits - Pixabay.com Every year we religiously welcome our New year by attending fireworks, seeing balls drop and having great time with family and friends. We make new year resolutions and try to keep them. The specialty about this year is it is ushering in the new decade. But many times by the middle of the year, we are back to our old ways and forget every thing about our new year resolutions and decisions. Comfort zone: Why does it become so tough to stick to a resolution and make the change? If we have decided, shouldn't we be able to do it? This is the super power of the subconscious mind. It relis...

The spirit of Christmas!

Hello all, Namaste! I want to let my blog readers know about my new website- swaroopa.net. Very simple id, not the complicated blog id address. Wishing all my blog readers a very Merry Christmas and Happy holidays! May the spirit of Christmas always fill our hearts and Souls! Now to the post. Wishing everyone Happy holidays! Image credits - Pixabay.com What is the spirit of Christmas? Almost half the world celebrates Christmas as the birth of Jesus and how he gave himself for a cause. The story of Jesus Christ depicts how a Master through his own life shows the world how to live a life. Many times in our rush to do something and become something we forget a major part of living. When this part is lost, our life becomes too mechanical and robotic. We have discussed this many times in our posts. Living from our heart. Heart is the place where our inner divine resides. When we just live from our mind, this deep grounding to something greater than us is lost. Many Masters have w...

Gaia- The Earth mother!

Hello all, Namaste! I want to let my blog readers know about my new website- swaroopa.net. Very simple id, not the complicated blog id address. Now to the post. Last week, we were discussing how belief and faith are two very different concepts. Many times we as humans end up thinking it denotes the same thing. For belief the guidance comes from outside and for faith the guidance comes from within. But does that mean we should only listen to our within and ignore every thing that is happening outside? When a tornado is coming to hit us, should we take shelter or not? So, the outer reality also is very important. This is where the concept of Gaia comes. The Earth mother! In many cultures and religions, the Earth is treated as a mother, Goddess or an entity. As I know Hinduism more, let us look at Hinduism. In the current Hinduism, Earth is depicted as Bhoomi or Bhauma devi. She is thought to be kind, compassionate and all loving.  She is considered the consort of Vishnu, the...

Belief and faith!

Hello all, Namaste!   I want to let my blog readers know about my new website- swaroopa.net. Very simple id, not the complicated blog id address. Now to the post. Last week we discussed how we have to break the box of our own ancestral, social, cultural and familial conditioning to become truly who we are. No, it is not easy. These patterns we carry through life times or if it is in the family through centuries. Many times we don't even know whether a thought process is our own which we acquired through our experiences or whether it is coming from an ancestor who lived a few centuries ago.  Subconscious mind: Many of these are subconscious in nature. The only way as a person we can access the subconscious mind is through feelings, meditation, dream or sleep. In that dream and sleep are out. Yes, we can dream. But we cannot choose what to dream, when to dream or how to dream. We cannot control it. Now, sleep. We can sleep and lie down. But we have no control over, when...
